AR porn will change your fetishes forever

It’s interesting that technology can have such a hold on our sexual preferences. In general, porn preferences change with time since different generations view sexuality differently.

In the 1980s and before, porn was slower, more story-centric and more sensual. Post that period, porn became more hardcore. It carried more heat and more passion.

As a result, production values changed, content changed and so did people’s preferences. With VR porn, people’s fetishes were moulded. Although, this time the driver wasn’t time, but technology. You see normal 2D porn is viewed different than VR porn. 2D porn is voyeuristic since it’s the performers that are having sex and the viewer is a third-party.

In VR porn that changes since the male performer wears the camera and the viewer becomes part of the scene. Here, the female performer is actually connecting with the viewer and it’s the viewer who’s meant to have sex (virtually of course) with the performer. This is partly due to the limitations of a VR camera rig and the POV angle that results from it.

As a result, all those who wanted their porn to be more hardcore and packed with passion, now suddenly need more engagement. Previously, the sex and the connection needed to be their between the performers, but now the pornstar needs to engage and connect with the fans. That is only possible with emotes like eye contact, dialogue, teasing and seduction. All of a sudden, the fetish changes.

The same is likely to happen in AR porn. AR porn doesn’t quite work the same way like VR but retains come similarities. Most AR porn content till now is 1-on-1. This means, that there’s one female (or male) performer carrying out acts for the viewer. There’s no 2D like sex act being carried out. And there’s good reason for this. AR porn is supposed to be between the viewer and the performer. It’s built on the premise that it will bring the pornstar closer to the viewer and allow them to enjoy her as a real-life personality. As a result, a voyeur-based content won’t necessarily work.

However, that doesn’t mean it cannot work. But right now, the primary offering is private performances for the viewer. While it’s still a 1-on-1 thing like VR porn, it isn’t POV. Which means that while the performer still needs to engage their viewer, but they aren’t limited by camera rigs.

They can dances, strip, tease and seduce however they which. Facial expressions and dialogues aren’t the only way. It’s likely that AR porn will be more sensual and more erotic. It will try to create a relationship between the performer and the viewer and the content will be dictated by user feedback (like it always is).
So niches like milf-on-teen, office sex, gym sex, BDSM and others primarily based on role-play characters will get a rework or find different ways of expression. Or, they could cease altogether and new niches like makeup sex, school boy seduction, etc. could find grasp. In a way, it can be like JOI-based content that we already have.
